Biography:
After studying Acting & Musical Theatre at London’s Mountview Theatre School, Matt fell into a career in event production while volunteering for AIDS charity London Lighthouse. In 1998 he created and produced the Designs For Life fashion show which brought together one hundred of the top names in fashion, from Armani to Versace, who each designed a one-of-a-kind garment inspired by the AIDS red ribbon symbol. During this time he sold the sponsorship of the event to Canon and the event went on to be a phenomenal success raising over £150,000 and generating world-wide TV and press coverage.
Following Canon Designs For Life, in 1999 Matt went on to establish his own event production company, DNA Productions. DNA has been responsible for some of the UK’s most glamorous events including Elton John’s White Tie & Tiara Ball, Stella McCartney’s Wedding, Barbie’s 40th Anniversary for Mattel, David LaChappelle’s UK Exhibition Opening, Kevin Spacey’s party to celebrate his directorship of The Old Vic Theatre, the launch of John Water’s TV Show Love You To Death at MIPTV in Cannes, Elvis Costello’s wedding to jazz singer Diana Krall, the launch of The Sugababes as the face of Wella Shockwaves, and La Trophee Chopard at the 58th Cannes Film Festival.
Since 2004 DNA has won an unprecedented 24 industry awards for excellence including Production Company of the Year.
