TONY LAW
Representing Agent: Becky Williams
Roles: Actor, Comedian
BIOGRAPHY:
"Imagine if Harry Potter was a Canadian non-wizard who writes very funny jokes with his big hands, that’s Tony Law" (Sean Lock).

The cheerfully absurd humour that Law knocks around into a jazzy, freeform shape has endeared him to both live and TV audiences in the UK and abroad.

Tony returned triumphant from 2011's Edinburgh Fringe where he won the Amused Moose Laughter Award and accumulated a plethora of 4* and 5* reviews with Go Mr Tony Go!. The show was later nominated for 'Best Show' at Dave's Leicester Comedy Festival and was crowned 'Best Breakthrough' at the 2012 Chortle Awards.

2012 was a busy year for Tony with several projects in development and a plethora of TV appearances. The cherry on top of this lovely muffin of a year was the prestigious Foster’s Edinburgh Comedy Award nomination for his Fringe show Maximum Nonsense.

Last year got off to a triumphant start with Tony winning two Chortle Awards (Club Comic and Best Show) and appearances on Charlie Brooker's Screen Wipe, Sue Perkins' sitcom Heading Out, Have I Got News For You, Never Mind The Buzzcocks and 8 Out Of 10 Cats. His Edinburgh show Nonsense Overdrive was another critically acclaimed sell-out at the Fringe and he toured the show for the rest of the year, culminating in a five week run at the Soho Theatre over Christmas. 2014 has seen him guest on Dilemma with Sue Perkins, host a Radio 4 Extra show on surrealism in comedy and star in an indie feature called Blood Moon directed by Jeremy Wooding. Tony has various ideas in development for telly and radio so expect to see much more of him in 2014.

Other awards:
Glastonbury New Act
Comic’s Choice ‘Piece-of-Wood’ at Melbourne Comedy Festival
Amused Moose Laughter Award
