Nadia was born of a Welsh mother and an Iraqi father in Swansea, South Wales. She was raised primarily in Wales but was kidnapped by her father shortly after her mother’s death to live in the Middle East around about the time the Gulf War was just about winding up. Eventually she ended up back in Britain and trained with the West Glamorgan Youth Theatre and the National Youth Theatre of Wales before reading English and Drama at Cambridge University. At Cambridge she began writing and performing her own material and became a favourite at fortnightly Footlights’ Smokers where she met her double-act partner John-Luke Roberts.

After Cambridge, Nadia completed a Masters degree at the Central School of Speech and Drama where she continued to thrive as an actress, writer and deviser.

With John-Luke as The Behemoth, she has written and performed in three spectacular Edinburgh successes.

She has written and starred in all episodes of both series of BBC7’s ‘Spats’ alongside numerous appearances on Radio4. Nadia and John-Luke are currently working on several projects for broadcast media as well as regularly appearing live on the London circuit.

As a writer she has written for a variety of publications, and performs solo stand up across the London circuit and further afield, having headlined for several charity galas.

Additionally Nadia has founded her own theatre company ‘Found Objects’ which has been producing sparkling new work across venues throughout the UK. She has an interest in aerial performance, having trained as a trapeze artist. As an actress she has appeared throughout the country in various productions as well as in film and television projects.

In April 2010 you can see her in the brilliant and hilarious new sketch show "Happy Finish" on Channel 4.
