Biography:
Gail is one of the country's best-loved presenters. She is a regular panelist on "The Wright Stuff" on Channel 5 and films regular reports for "Parliamentary Projects" on Careers TV. Gail is about to record the second series of "Safari: 8" for CBBC after successfully recording the first series in 2008. In 2008 Gail enjoyed a record-breaking box office run of "The Vagina Monologues" at the Edinburgh Playhouse. Gail was also seen presenting on "The Gadget Show" on Channel 5.
Gail has always dedicated a lot of her free time to charities that are close to her heart including; The Stroke Association, Little Princess, Action Aid and the Children's Alopecia Project amongst others.
Gail famously suffers from Alopecia and made a documentary about her feelings surrounding her sudden hair loss. This moving and honest documentary led her to be offered the chance to go to Cambodia to report on the controversial situation regarding international adoption.
Prior to this, Gail spent much of 2004/05/06 in Los Angeles, Las Vegas and New York filming three series of "Dead Famous" for The Living Channel. As a true skeptic, Gail interviewed a series of psychics and mediums who talk to the spirits of dead famous people, hence the title!. She really enjoyed making this show and learnt so much during her time in America.
Gail also participated in Channel 4's "The Games". Despite having to drop out due to an injury, Gail proved to be both successful and popular in the programme. After excelling in Judo, with no previous experience, Gail was awarded a Green Belt from the National Judo Association.
Presenting doesn't just mean television for Gail. She has plenty of Radio experience, including having her very own shows on Virgin Radio and XFM and co-hosting the A-List on Heart Radio. Gail is also in great demand for corporate work. She absolutely loved hosting the awards at BAFTA Scotland, the Q Awards and The Emap Awards. Gail has also won several awards for presenting including the Royal Television Society award for Best Presenter for 'Pulling Power'.
2005 Variety Club winner of the Multichannel TV Personality of the Year award.
