Biography:
Bradley became a household name playing the lovable rogue Danny Baldwin in the UK's highest rating TV show, Coronation Street. A role for which he received three Best Actor nominations at The National Television Awards. Since leaving The Street he has filmed an emotional three-part ITV drama entitled Torn, and has fulfilled one of his own ambitions: acting in Dickens’ costume drama Old Curiosity Shop alongside Sir Derek Jacobi. In September 2010 Bradley will begin filming a third series of the successful drama Law and Order for ITV. Returning as the lead role, DS Ronnie Brooks, the second series will air this year.
Bradley’s big screen debut came when he starred in the Brit-hit Mike Bassett: England Manager. He was then honoured to be asked to work with Palm D’or winner Ken Loach on a short film entitled Happy Endings which was commissioned to celebrate the Cannes Film Festival.
As a presenter Bradley’s hosting credits are extensive. From The National Lottery on BBC 1 to The Big Stage on Channel 5 and Shoot The Messenger on The Paramount Channel. Currently he can be seen presenting The Chase, a brand new quiz show format airing daily on ITV 1. He has also just finished filming Odd One In, another new ITV entertainment show in which he plays quiz-master to regular panelists Peter Andre and Jason Manford and a host of celebrity guests. Odd One In will air on Saturday nights later in the year.
Bradley has the comedian's gift for observing the ordinary and making it funny. This year has seen him taking to the stage again, this time on a national tour of his new show Bradley Walsh: The Wife’s New Shoes.
Bradley has twice enjoyed playing at Old Trafford as part of the England team for "Soccer Aid". Each year football legends and celebrities battle it out on the pitch with the ultimate aim of raising money for UNICEF.
