Biography:
Sherrie’s one of Britain’s best loved faces on television, with a strong and distinguished background in both acting and presenting. She is a regular panellist on ITV1 Daytimes’s hugely successful Loose Women . She has an extensive acting background, in film, theatre and television. On television, Sherrie’s best known for her recurring role in Coronation Street as Maureen Webster and she recently appeared as Lesley Meredith in Emmerdale. She’s also in great demand as celebrity guest and has appeared on numerous shows, such as Celebrity Masterchef , Soapstar Superchef, Through The Keyhole, Celebrity’s Best Dish, Hole In The Wall, Celebrity Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, Dickinson’s Real Deal and What Are You Like? .
Earlier this year, Sherrie took part in BBC Daytimes successful series, Murder Most Famous, where she learnt how to write a crime novel under the watchful eye of Minette Walters and competed against seven celebrity hopefuls. Sherrie won the competition and a book deal with Macmillan Books. She’s delighted that her first novel, The Tannery , will be published early in 2009.
