Biography:

Nadia is a Welsh-Iraqi polytalent. She trained with West Glamorgan Youth Theatre and the National Youth Theatre of Wales before reading English and Drama at Cambridge University. At Cambridge she began writing and performing her own material and became a favourite at fortnightly Footlights Smokers where she met her double-act partner John-Luke Roberts.

After Cambridge, Nadia completed a Masters degree at the Central School of Speech and Drama.

With John-Luke as The Behemoth, she has written and performed in four spectacular Edinburgh successes.

- The Guardian

"brilliant, relentlessly skewed take on sketch comedy"
- The Independent

"Slick and wickedly funny"
- Metro

Nadia has worked extensively in radio, especially with BBC Radio Wales. She has written and starred in all episodes of both series of BBC7's Spats alongside numerous appearances on Radio 4 for shows such as Newsjack and is a regular guest on BBC Radio Wales panel show What's The Story. She also writes for Newsjack and The News Quiz. In 2012 she starred in Elis James' new radio play Pantheon of Heroes and played every female character in the hilarious Social Club FM, both for BBC Radio Wales.

As a writer she has written for a variety of publications, and performs solo stand up across the London circuit and further afield, having headlined for several charity galas.

Additionally Nadia has founded her own theatre company Found Objects which has been producing sparkling new work across venues throughout the UK. She has an interest in aerial performance, having trained as a trapeze artist, and is currently training in aerial rope work.

Most recently Nadia appeared in Stella on Sky 1 as Bethan, a waitress. This character was originally written as one line in one episode but Nadia was such a hit that they wrote her in to two following epsidoes, including the series finale. She is also currently voicing the character of RogueGirl on new comedy puppet show The Stuffs which is set for big things on Cartoon Network.

Nadia and John-Luke are currently working on several projects for broadcast media as well as regularly appearing live on the London circuit.
