BEKKA BOWLING
|
| Representing Agent: Becky Williams |
|
Biography:
'Brave, funny, clever' with a 'likeable flair and... radiant personality' (www.funnywomen.com), Bekka is a gifted actress with a particular talent for comedy. Equally comfortable on both stage and screen she was a runner-up in national stand-up competition Funny Women 2011.
Following a successful stint at The Edinburgh Festival (2010) playing a middle-aged housewife with a hunch-back and an obsession with quiche, she was cast in the fourth series of Lee Mack’s BBC sitcom 'Not Going Out'. Further screen credits include 'Switch' for ITV2 and a taster for Objective.
Bekka is currently busy gigging and writing a 20 minute set for her debut stand-up show at the Edinburgh Fringe. She will be going up with Shane Todd as 'Bowling and Todd +1', each day the show will feature a special guest stand-up with rumoured names including Tim Vine and Abandoman.
Training:
London Studio Centre - 1st Class honours degree (upon graduation, recipient of both the Sheila O'Neil Trophy for acting and the coveted Merrifield Award for star quality).
