A brilliant stand-up comedian, Max was named as one of The Sun's 2011 Comedy Picks (along with Josh Widdicombe and others) and went on to perform at the prestigious Lunchtime Club stand-up showcase in Edinburgh that summer. Previous alumni include: Tom Rosenthal (Friday Night Dinner), Joe Lycett (BBC1's Epic Win) and many more. As a stand-up, Max has supported Ardal O'Hanlon on tour, and is taking his debut hour long show to the Edinburgh festival in August 2012.

Max was recently on the bill for one of Time Out's "Comedy up Close" gigs at The Charing Cross Theatre, and has also done extensive MC work, including for Time Out comedy editor Ben Williams where he MCed a theatre gig starring Nick Helm and Sean Hughes. Ben's testimonial: "A warm, personable comic with plenty of tightly-written, punchline-heavy material. A great additional to any bill."

Max has had sketches commissioned on Channel 4 (This Just In) and BBC2 (Dick n Dom), as part of the hotly tipped double-act "Dregs", who enjoyed a sell-out debut run at the Underbelly in Edinburgh 2011. It was recommended by The Independent as one of the "Top Ten Comedy Shows To See At The Fringe", and the show has also been recommended since by The Guardian and Time Out.

As well as comedy writing/performing Max has worked for 2 years as a professional radio presenter for the national station Absolute Radio. Having been on Absolute Radio for less than three months, he was nominated for a prestigious Sony Radio Award in the Rising Star Category. Max was plucked fresh out of student radio where he was a 5 time Student Radio Award nominee.

Max is currently working on a variety of TV and radio projects, as well as his live work, and has had shows in development with Zeppotron and NBC/Universal, and been shortlisted for funding by a leading international production company for a feature length comedy film.
